Job Summary:Sagen Advisory Recruitment Company seeks an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Personal Assistant to support our accounting firm client based in Bellville, Cape Town.You'll handle various administrative tasks and assist with accounting- and law-related duties.Although a background in accounting, or law is not required, it is an advantage, and training will be provided for the position.
This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:Administrative Support:Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.Prepare and organize travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries.Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.Maintain and update electronic filing systems.Provide general office support, such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.Bookkeeping/Accounting Support:Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records.Prepare and reconcile bank statements.Process invoices and payments.Assist with budget preparation and tracking.Provide support for audits and financial reviews.Legal Support (if applicable):Assist with legal document preparation and filing.Conduct legal research and analysis.Manage legal databases and case files.Coordinate with external legal counsel.Project Management:Assist with project planning, coordination, and tracking.Prepare project reports and presentations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Administration diploma or Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.Minimum 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant or personal assistant.Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or law is not required but will be an advantage.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy.Strong ethical and professional standards.Preferred Qualifications:Administration or personal assistance experience – minimum 5 years.Highly detailed, skilled in time management, and can work under pressure.Experience working in an accounting or law environment.Knowledge of Greatsoft and e-filing.Bilingual language skills.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and growth.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Remuneration:R15,000 to R25,000 pm, depending on qualifications and experience.
