Actuarial Valuations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:Lead actuarial valuations, financial reporting, and compliance with industry standards.Collaborate with business teams to influence strategy and contribute to budgeting processes.Mentor and provide development opportunities for junior actuarial staff.Ensure accurate and timely reporting for regulatory submissions (SAM, ORSA, SARB, CBR).Manage key actuarial deliverables, including life product valuations and capital requirement assessments.Present complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.Monitor offshore capacity and provide business insights based on metric pack analysis.Work towards meeting deadlines while maintaining high accuracy levels.Qualifications:University Degree in Actuarial Science, Investment Management, Quantitative Finance, or related field.AMASSA qualification or equivalent from a recognized Actuarial Society.Experience in actuarial valuations for a life company, SAM, and ORSA.Advanced skills in Excel, VBA, and SQL.Leadership and team management experience.Understanding of wealth and investment products.Familiarity with R, Python, or Power BI is a plus.Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
