Document business requirements within the scope of use, definitions, and assumptions made. Develop and refine solutions that address business requirements and objectives.Building CapabilityMentor and coach staff on a technical and professional front. Assist staff to increase their capacity to automate processes and encourage leveraging each other's strengths to improve overall team performance.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Keep stakeholders informed about project/analysis delivery and provide clear feedback.Data Collection & AnalysisUse data from various sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business. Verify data used for actuarial models against credible data sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.Actuarial ModelingTranslate business objectives into clearly defined business cases. Ensure that actuarial models and processes are developed, implemented, and monitored effectively.Model Deployment and TestingPlan and deliver system changes and manage the team to meet project timelines. Engage with users to identify requirements and design solutions.Insights and ReportingPrepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports. Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.Improvement / InnovationIdentify shortcomings in existing practices, suggest improvements, and implement solutions. Stay updated with business developments and proactively develop solutions.Leadership and DirectionCommunicate actions needed to implement the function's strategy and motivate people to commit to these goals.Performance ManagementManage team performance, set objectives, and hold team members accountable.
