My client is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager to lead their accounts payable operations.This role involves overseeing the entire accounts payable process, from invoice receipt through to payment and reconciliation, and ensuring the efficient and accurate management of all related workflows.The successful candidate will also manage vendor relationships and contribute to key projects and initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Manage Accounts Payable Operations:Oversee the entire accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment and reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Supervise a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.Handle vendor relationships, resolving issues and ensuring service levels meet company standards.Monitor and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.Optimize Processes and Systems:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in a shared services environment.Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance accounts payable systems and integrate new technologies.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Financial Reporting and Compliance:Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, providing insights and recommendations for management.Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and comply with accounting standards.Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and reports.Vendor Management:Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.Manage the vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information.Implement and oversee vendor performance metrics to ensure service quality.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.Recruit and train new team members as needed.Qualifications and Experience needed:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.Proven experience in accounts payable management, preferably within a shared services environment.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficient in accounts payable systems and software.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
