Accounts Payable Assistant

We are launching new partnerships here at amplify5, and to ensure we set this up for success we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant.
To support the Accounts Payable team in meeting the departmental targets and objectives. To meet customer and business needs by processing invoices, expenses and resolving queries in a timely and accurate manner.
What you will be doing: Process all overhead invoices via APA (No PO, No pay policy)Check and process Personal Expense claims in line with company policyManage the AP email inbox and re-directing queriesEscalate any potential issues to the relevant ManagerCheck and file master-file data changes to Supplier records including change of bank detailsComplete supplier statement reconciliationsAssist with supplier queries via phone-calls or emailsCover team members in times of absenceAd-hoc duties and projects as requiredNon-Negotiable Requirements: Must reside in Cape TownQualifications: Matric (Completed)Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration – Advantageous.Experience: +2 years' experience of working in an AP department, preferably in a retail environmentKnowledge of Personal Expenses processes, VAT accounting and policiesGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of purchase to pay process for stock and overhead suppliesTeam player, and willing to assist others whenever possibleSkills and Knowledge: Proficient in Excel/ MS Office.Experience of Accounting Software.Numerically proficientWorking to deadlinesProfessional level of customer service both internally and externallyEmail boxes are up to date and all emails accounted forEscalation of issues prior to them becoming urgentExternal and internal customer satisfactionWorking with othersDrive for excellenceData entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.Job Type: Full-time
