Job Description : Our client is seeking an Accounting Consultant / ERP Implementation Specialist to manage both internal accounting operations and assist clients in implementing and customising the ERP systems' accounting modules. This role combines accounting expertise with business consulting, helping clients optimise their financial processes through ERP systems. The successful candidate will guide clients- particularly those in FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Distribution- through the challenges of ERP-driven accounting while also managing our client's own financial operations. A key aspect of the role involves transitioning clients from traditional accounting systems to the ERP system, ensuring a smooth process and providing ongoing support. Key Responsibilities : Internal Financial Management : Oversee and manage our clients financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Client ERP Implementation & Support : Assist clients with implementing and customising ERP systems accounting modules, offering setup, support, and troubleshooting. Business Consulting : Provide strategic advice to clients, especially those in industries such as FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Distribution, on optimising their financial operations through ERP solutions. Cost Accounting & Stock Valuation : Guide clients on cost accounting and stock valuation practices, particularly for businesses handling large inventories and supply chains. FX and Import Handling : Help clients navigate foreign exchange, imports, and landed costs, ensuring these processes are integrated into their financial systems. Multi-company Setup : Implement multi-company structures, handling transfer pricing, currency differences, and consolidated financial reporting. Data Analysis & Support : Manage and clean financial data to ensure accurate reporting for clients and internal use. Management Accounting : Support clients in management accounting to improve financial planning and decision-making. Key Qualifications : Strong knowledge of accounting mechanics within an ERP system Accounting experience for companies in FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution industries. Expertise in cost accounting, stock valuation, and working with clients managing large inventories. Proficiency in handling FX, imports, and landed costs, and understanding their financial impact. Knowledge of multi-company setups, including transfer pricing, currency consolidation, and reporting. Strong data analysis skills, able to identify and resolve complex financial data issues. Experience in management accounting within an ERP framework. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly. Adaptable, fast thinker with a willingness to learn and solve problems. Salary offered: Depending on experience, market related. Location: Claremont, Cape Town.
