Our client, operating in the wine industry, has a position available for an on-site Accountant with excellent problem-solving and good communication skills, paired with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be based on the farm situated in Voor-Paardeberg, Paarl.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the accounting functions of both the farm and hospitality section. Duties will include:Participating in day-to-day operational activities in the admin, finance, and hospitality departmentsProviding support to Head of Finance and team in all accounting practicesHandling a variety of financial tasks ensuring trial balance is ready/reconciled for financial reportingAccurate monthly reporting, monthly reconciliations, and transaction trackingAssisting with budget forecasting preparation and supportProviding assistance to Head of Finance with the preparation of financial statementsAsset register maintenanceAll administrative functions related to the position Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: Diploma/Degree in AccountingMinimum 5 years' relevant accounting experience within the wine & hospitality industryExcellent computer proficiency (MSOffice, Xero, Vinsight, Lightspeed MarketMan, SharePoint)Accurate and transparent approach to workGood knowledge of SARS legislation and statutory submissionsOwn reliable transport
