Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3 years post Articles within an Accounting firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Auditing : Participating in the audit process, which involves examining and verifying financial statements, assessing financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Preparing audit working papers, documenting findings, and assisting in the preparation of audit reports.
Taxation : Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Advising clients on tax planning and compliance with tax laws.
Accounting : Preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Recording financial transactions and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
Performing reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Client Interaction : Communicating with clients to gather necessary financial information and supporting documentation.
Assisting clients with queries related to accounting, tax, and audit matters.
Financial Analysis : Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Preparing reports and presentations for senior accountants and managers.
Compliance and Regulations : Ensuring that all accounting and financial practices comply with relevant laws, standards, and regulations, such as the Companies Act and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software E-filing, SAGE and MS Office, particularly Excel.
