Job description:
As part of this dynamic team, you will assure that all financial recordkeeping duties are done on time, which may include bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting up to trial balance for a dedicated area.
Qualifications and minimum requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• At least 5 years' experience
• Post article accounting or financial management
• Computer literacy
• Local and International taxation
• International finances including transfer pricing
• Project costing and cost control
Key Performance Areas:
• Accounts Payable
o Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable function.
o Reconcile the supplier.
o Manage exceptions on accounts payable issues with suppliers.
o Ensure compliance with VAT Act.
• Accounts Receivable
o Raising customer invoices.
o Sending out customer statements.
o Reconcile customer payments.
o Follow up on outstanding payments and escalate where necessary.
• Month End Procedures
o Contribute to the preparation of management reports.
o Monthly reconciliation of inventory, payroll, fixed assets, suppliers, customers, VAT, and tax accounts.
• Expense Analysis
o Analyse month-to-month variances.
o Analyse budget to actual.
o Work alongside the Cost Controller to provide support to the project team.
• Compliance
o Ensure all relevant compliance reporting and submission is done on time.
• Team Management
o Develop and manage the finance team to ensure they are equipped to deliver on team objectives.
o Set team targets and monitor performance against those targets.
o Drive department hiring, training, performance management, and day-to-day HR matters.
o Provide coaching and mentoring to team members for their professional development.
• Reporting
o Ensure reporting is done accurately and timely as per business requirements.
o Contribute to budgeting and forecast reporting.
• Ad Hoc
o Any ad hoc duties as required from time to time.
o Assist with annual/bi-annual stock taking.
o Assist with the preparation for audits.
