An independent tax consultancy firm based in Cape Town is in search for a Tax Accountant, where South African tax practitioners work with German tax advisors' admission and Tax law experts looking at advisory events between Germany and South Africa.
We support investors and entrepreneurs in the optimal tax planning in South Africa and Germany to ensure that they are based in their projects can feel safe.
Key Responsibilities: Capturing of digital invoices and billsProcessing automated bank feedsReconcile interim, interco, salary control and VAT and control accountsCapture monthly payroll ledgers and tax returnsAssist with preparation of income tax schedules, computing of taxable incomeAssist with verifications of returns and supporting documentsSupervising new employees and training themParticipating to professional development proposed by the employerReporting, updating and co-operating with the direct supervisorPhoning SARS, preparation of correspondence (clients, general stakeholders)Time management skills requiredRequirements: BCom Accounting degree / similar qualificationSA accounting software (XERO)German accounting software (HMD, DATEV) (will be an advantage)Clients processed remotely: German and Youth African basedRemote working via VPNCompanies & Sole proprietors, small to medium size private entitiesRoughly 35 client-portfolios processed treated per accountantUnderlying GAAP : SA, German, IFRS, Income Tax, VAT
