Sub - Sahara Africa (South Africa-based)A leading global manufacturer and provider of niche products in the health and nutrition and animal care arena wishes to appoint an experienced Account Management professional.The role and purpose of the Account Manager will be to drive, grow and further extend the company's value proposition to EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) customers in a highly dynamic and diverse animal nutrition industry with significant opportunities.The ideal candidate will be an established sales & marketing and commercial professional with at least 5 years of solid experience in a commercial capacity, managing marketing or sales or other commercial endeavours in a significant organisation.A relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in science/technology or business-related field is required.Purpose of the positionManage and develop a portfolio of customers in his/her sub-regionAchieve KPI objectives (Sales, GPx, NBD, CAPs and personal objectives) according to regional marketing targets and global pricing strategy (commercial guidelines)Obtain in-depth knowledge about customers and competitors, their product range and share it within DNPEnsure process from order to cash (incl. collection of money)Provide long-term customer-based strategiesKey Performance AreasAmongst Others, The Key Performance Areas Include:Identify new business opportunities and develop own market in close cooperation with country/regional sales managerDefine and implement customer action plans for existing and to win new accounts - set targets for local key accountsCreate weekly and monthly customer visit plans and report weeklyPrepare weekly cash collection report to be consolidated in Sales and sent to FinanceClose follow up the economical situations of the customers to be proactiveOptimize customer portfolio (profitability focus)Collect relevant customer and competitor information and communicate it systematically within the business groupCoordinate and ensure resolution of customer complaintsTrack performance by customer and product and report accurately and timelyApply business unit commercial tools (e.g., CAPs) and proceduresComply with all relevant business unit policies (e.g., SHE)Provide customer based monthly, quarterly and yearly forecastsTrain and support the distributors' sales and technical teams for company productsUse of CRM actively within all operations and projectsQualificationsRequisite Qualifications, Experience And Know-How:A relevant university degree with/or equivalent experience in animal science/technology or business-related field.ExperienceAt least 5 years of solid commercial or account management experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment.Business development experience within the B2B marketing context.Experience and understanding of consumer insights and consumer behaviours.Experience in building customer relationships across diverse cultures, countries and industries.Know-how, Competencies, Skills, And AttributesWell-Developed interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills in English.Excellent presentation skills.Personal gravitas and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Well-developed computer literacy, especially in the MS office suite.Demonstrable team functioning skills.Demonstrable analytical abilities.Proven innovation skills.Demonstrable creative skills.Whilst we will endeavour to respond to all applications, should you not have heard from us within 4 weeks of your application, please accept that our client will not be pursuing a discussion with you in respect of this position.Desired SkillsSalesMarketingAccount ManagementAnimal NutritionDesired Work Experience5 to 10 yearsDesired Qualification LevelDegree
