Responsibilities:
Client Relationships
• Ensure client expectations are met and exceptional service is provided.
• Offer clients the best available prices and products.
• Generate creative ideas and review products for clients.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients.
• Maintain good relationships with all our client staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
• Set and measure minimum standards.
• Follow up with clients and leads.
• Manage and lead guests during travel for an end-to-end experience.
• Travel with youth groups as needed.
Technical Skills
• Adhere to turnaround times per our client Travel policies or client specifications.
• Utilize Tourplan knowledge.
• Intermediate experience in Amadeus Ticketing.
• Understand customer needs and products.
• Familiarity with our client policies and procedures.
• Prepare quotations and costings for product packaging.
• Manage documentation for all groups.
• Lead the operations team through positive intervention.
• Provide excellent customer care.
• Handle complaints professionally.
• Solve problems effectively.
• Exceed customer expectations.
• Manage Zoho.
Administration
• Understand and follow all divisional procedures and policies.
• Submit reports as requested and meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality with company intellectual capital.
• Ensure accurate costings for clients.
Financial Reporting
• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Measure profitability monthly.
• Submit activity and workload status reports monthly.
• Manage payments for Debtors and Creditors as required.
Teamwork
• Build and maintain relationships with all division teams.
• Coach, motivate, develop, and mentor team leaders.
• Performance management through leadership.
• Support all business units within our client Destination Management.
• Assist in sales and marketing efforts.
Supplier Relationships
• Commit to building relationships with our client Destination Management
partners.
• Secure the best rates.
• Understand supplier products.
• Source new products and ideas.
• Negotiate specific client or departmental requirements.
Learning and Development
• Continuously develop product knowledge.
• Attend industry events, seminars, conferences, and workshops.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products.
• Attend relevant exhibitions and trade shows.
Requirements
Qualifications and Expertise
• Matric certificate.
• Travel & Tourism qualification.
• 3-5 years experience in the Tourism Industry - Inbound & Outbound.
Competency
• Experience with ZOHO preferred.
• Previous knowledge of the school environment required.
• Essential experience with Tourplan.
