Qualifications and Experience NeededA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceExtensive knowledge of material handling, inventory management, and safety protocolsUnderstanding of the logistics and operational demands of large-scale mining projectsProficient in computer usageFluency in English and/or AfrikaansExcellent communication skillsValid driver's license and own transportWillingness to work weekends and overtime when requiredKey Responsibilities:Oversee and manage yard activities, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipmentEnsure proper handling and organization of construction materials, tools, and machineryMaintain inventory control, track stock levels, and report on material requirementsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all yard activitiesMaintain yard cleanliness and organization to ensure a safe working environmentAssist with loading and unloading activities in the laydown areaLiaise with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of materialsOversee equipment maintenance and ensure the readiness of yard machineryTroubleshoot and resolve logistics, inventory, and equipment-related issues promptlyProvide regular reports on yard operations, safety performance, and material statusPlease Note: If you do not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
