FUNCTION: WORKSHOP MECHANIC (RED SEAL) DISCIPLINE: MAINTENANCE LOCATION: JOHANNESBURG DURATION: PERMANENT SALARY: MARKET RELATED _________________________________________________________________ "Our client specializing in Plant Hire and Civil Services, is urgently looking for two (2) WORKSHOP MECHANIC (RED SEAL) with Earthmoving Equipment maintenance experience to join our client's team based in JOHANNESBURG." JOB DESCRIPTION: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting equipment components to ensure proper functioning. Diagnostic and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in earthmoving equipment. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machinery. Equipment Testing: Conduct performance tests and diagnostic procedures to assess the efficiency and functionality of earthmoving equipment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including work orders, service reports, and parts inventory. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including operators and supervisors, to understand equipment issues and prioritize repairs. QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENT: Accredited Tertiary qualification or equivalent Civil Industry qualifications. Minimum 5-8 years' experience.
