Workshop Mechanic required for a reputable company based in East London, Eastern CapeRequirements:High School Diploma or GED required.2 yrs.
proficiency working as a MechanicThorough understanding for mechanical operations of engines, electrical systems and hydraulicsAbility to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance workWorking knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatusesResponsibilities:Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and tools following operations manuals and manufacturer's instructions; adjusting reels and back lap reels.Responsible for general, detailed and specific inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and service of all company vehicles and equipment Follow preventive maintenance programMaintain service log on all equipmentKeep a clean and safe work areaDisplay a good work attitude at all timesOversee workshop area maintenance by ensuring that workshop remains clean and orderly; tools are kept clean and in proper working conditionMaintain adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies including fuel and oil levelsShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to Kerry O'Hagan at ****** shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
