A company in Mpumalanga is looking for a Workshop Manager to join their Team. The Company tackles electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power management challenges. Specializing in automation, motor control, SmartWire-DT, command and control, data networks, and circuit protection, they ensure critical systems work efficiently and reliably.
Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 and relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related fieldProven experience in managing a workshop environment, particularly in the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power management sectorsStrong background in automation, motor control, SmartWire-DT, command and control, data networks, and circuit protectionExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challengesProficiency in using workshop management software and toolsKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDuties and Responsibilities:Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivityManage and coordinate a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and supportDevelop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment and machineryEnsure compliance with safety regulations and industry standardsMonitor and control workshop budgets and expensesLiaise with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsImplement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanshipConduct regular inspections and audits of workshop activities and equipmentManage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and materialsCoordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and project completionProvide training and development opportunities for workshop staffMaintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory recordsEnsure timely completion of all projects and repairs, meeting client expectations and deadlinesStay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve workshop operations
