About SKG Fleet Services:SKG Fleet is a leading provider of fleet management services for the SKG Group of Companies, specialising in the maintenance, repair, and management of our commercial vehicles and plant. We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop.Role Overview:As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our workshop, managing a team of technicians and mechanics, and maintaining high-quality standards for all repairs and maintenance work. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our fleet vehicles are well-maintained and in top working condition, minimising downtime and maximising their productivity.Responsibilities:Manage workshop operations:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.Monitor and analyse workshop performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.Team management: lead and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.Budget management: Monitor and manage workshop expenses to ensure they are within budget.Inventory management:Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are available for use and that all stock levels are adequate.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, including costs and parts used.Quality control: implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the company's standards and expectations.Training and development: Identify training needs, conducting performance appraisals and providing coaching and development opportunities for workshop staff to improve their skills and knowledge.Health and safety: Ensure that all workshop operations are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.Customer service:Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and quality service.Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs.Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on workshop operations, including productivity, expenses, and any issues or concerns.Requirements:Must be a qualified Diesel MechanicMinimum of 10 years experience including apprenticeshipAt least 10 years of experience in fleet management or automotive repair in a management roleDemonstrated ability to lead large technical teamsValid driver's license and clean driving recordSkills:Strong leadership and management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in computer software and maintenance management systemsKnowledge of safety regulations and proceduresAbility to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesTo submit your application kindly visit the SKG Properties career website or click on the link at: https://www.careers-page.com/skg/job/L64XXWR5/applyPsychometric tests are required to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates.Should you not have been contacted by 30 August 2024 please consider your application unsuccessful.
