Our Client is one of South Africa's largest multi-franchise provider of industrial equipment solutions for the Construction, Mining, Recycling and Forestry industries.
We require a skilled and highly-efficient Workshop Manager to join their team in Durban, KZN able to co-ordinate and manage all workshop functions whilst ensuring that service targets are met efficiently.

Comprehensive Warranty claim reporting to be done whereas and when required.
Customer Relationships Can assist with Trade-in valuations.
Offers Product Support where necessary.
Is able to suggest solutions primarily within customer requirements area.
Listens and understands the perspective of others, accommodates expectations and objections to maintain relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the Service Area.
Encourage knowledge transfer and facilitate the training and development of team members in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
Provide advice and technical assistance to team members.
Monitor workflow to anticipate impact of delays due to team members being absent for leave days, holidays or sickness.
Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician work before the release of machine, goods, where applicable.
Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to Service Workshop policies and procedures.
Plan and adjust the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities.
Coordinate with sales department and or branch manager to arrange for delivery of equipment to customers.
Ensure that technicians are aware of all company procedures.
Facilitate the orientation of new team members in collaboration with the Workshop Supervisor by familiarizing them with work surroundings, explaining work hours, procedures, use of equipment and job expectations and ensure that new team members understand their respective duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Technical qualification Workshop Certificate/Diploma or Trade Certificate (preferable) 3 – 5 years relevant experience in Workshop supervision Technical background and competence in understanding breakdowns.
Knowledge of the Industry & Earthmoving, Construction and Mining Equipment product advantageous Computer Literacy PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: A high level of enthusiasm, motivation and dedication.
Numerical ability is essential and attention to detail Able to work effectively under pressure & with deadlines Knowledge of effective leadership experience.
