This entry-level role offers an opportunity to grow into a full-time Technician position over time.

Reports to: After-Sales Technical Manager Location: Stikland, Cape Town Schedule: Monday – Fridays, 08:00-16:30 Salary: Market related and commensurate with experience Responsibilities: General Assistance Provide support to technicians with general maintenance and repairs.
Assist with moving, loading, and delivering heavy equipment to clients.
Aid in carrying out basic duties similar to the Technician role, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Maintain a tidy and organised workshop environment Repairs, Fault Finding, and Maintenance Assist with fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs under supervision.
Support on-site repairs, maintenance, and installations, as directed by senior technicians.
Collaborate with technicians to manage equipment inspections, servicing, and repairs.
Support technicians in prioritizing and managing repair tasks and client service logs Administrative and Logistical Support Assist in the management of spare parts, inventory, and tools.
Help in documenting service calls, repairs, and maintenance logs.
Support the ordering of spare parts and materials required for repairs.
Assist in maintaining the repair-status reports, invoicing, and other administrative tasks under technician guidance Customer Interaction and Team Collaboration Communicate customer concerns effectively to senior technicians.
Maintain clear communication with clients regarding repair statuses and equipment servicing.
Work collaboratively with team members, technicians, and business owners to ensure high-quality service delivery Competencies: Technically oriented Excellent problem solving / fault finding skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent attention to detail Professionalism Willingness to learn Minimum requirements: N3 in Electrical Engineering/Refrigeration /HVAC would be advantageous.

Currently studying towards an N6 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year of maintenance and/or practical technical experience, preferably in commercial refrigeration and HVAC.
Experience with food service and catering equipment is advantageous.
