The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the placement of students in Grade R classrooms across South Africa, ensuring they gain valuable practical experience that complements their academic studies.Qualifications and Experience:A bachelor's degree in education, preferably with a focus on early childhood or Foundation Phase education; a master's degree is an advantage.3-5 years of experience in educational coordination, particularly in work-integrated learning or student placements.Comprehensive knowledge of the South African education system, especially in relation to Grade R teaching.Proven experience in building and managing partnerships with schools and educational institutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategies for student placements in Grade R classrooms nationwide.Establish and maintain partnerships with primary schools to secure diverse placement opportunities.Coordinate and manage logistics for WIL placements, including timelines, student allocations, and site monitoring.Provide orientation, mentoring, and ongoing support to students during their placements.Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.Work closely with academic staff to integrate WIL into the curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational guidelines.Ensure compliance with South African educational regulations and report on student placements and outcomes.Engage with stakeholders, including school principals, teachers, and educational authorities, to maintain and expand WIL partnerships.Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high standards in practical training.Manage administrative tasks related to WIL placements, including documentation and reporting.Skills and Competencies:Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to mentor and support students in practical learning environments.Proficiency in educational technology and online learning management systems.Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in South African higher education.If you are passionate about education and committed to the development of future educators, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.
