Job Description Working together with Sales, Scheduling, and Support Desk Staff.
Perform basic access point and network setups.
Perform installations and maintenance of wireless and fiber networks.
Receiving daily job cards for new installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Installation and maintenance of Routers, Wireless CPEs, and Wi-Fi hotspots.
Troubleshooting, testing on CPE's, access points and bandwidth capacity.
Able to perform cable runs internal and external for fiber and CAT.
Installation of VoIP systems including domain hosting.
Troubleshooting IP conflicts, firewall and routing issues.
Ensure stock is available for scheduled installations and repairs.
Ensure good housekeeping and that tools are kept in good condition.
Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures.
Completing all SHER and OHS required documentation.
Be on standby for emergency call outs as required.
Ensuring client's needs are met as indicated on job task.
Referencing job cards for correct stock needed for the installation.
Update tasks on mobile app with all relevant work done for task completion.
Working at heights and small spaces for installation and maintenance purposes.
Assist sales department during quoting of jobs and communicate any changes.
Update ticket with all relevant work done for job card completion and invoicing.
Communicate any changes in the repair or installation which may impact job costing.
Upgrade equipment firmware, clean up, take photos for quality control & marketing.
Troubleshoot fast and sufficiently, with an ability to identify problems leading to Fiber or Wireless not performing optimally and determine solutions.
Able to resolve the issue on site or replace the necessary equipment.
Job Requirements: Completed grade 12 A technical qualification such as A+ and/or N+ Strong understanding of ISP/Telecoms networks.
Experience working with Wireless and Wi-Fi Routers.
Experience using remote desktop support applications.
3 to 5 Years' experience in an ISP field technical environment.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers and switches.
Knowledge of network structures, crimping and use of power tools.
Knowledge of Mikrotik, Mimosa, Rujie Networks an added advantage.
Experience troubleshooting Wireless, FTTH, FTTB, broadband, Wi-Fi, domains.
Self-disciplined, motivated, and organized.
Medically fit & able to work at heights.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including i.e.
carrying and climbing a ladder, carry, lift, and handle heavy equipment.
Must be willing to be on standby to attend to emergencies after-hours & weekends.
Requirements Qualifications: Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
N+ & A+ Certification 3 to 5 years' experience in an ISP installation and maintenance environment.
CCNA/MTCNA or similar certification is an added advantage.
