Wine Tutor

Responsibilities:Setting up tasting areaPresenting tutored wine tastingsCellar toursEnsure presentation, quality and temperature of all drinks are correctProcessing wine ordersEnsuring that there is enough stock and equipment, stock collection and re-stockingEnsuring a minimum loss through breakage, waste, theft and incorrect orders and capturing any lossesStrict tasting and portion controlDaily stock-take of wine and beverages and completing stock movement sheetsPromoting and processing salesAdhering strictly to the provisions and regulations as contained in the Liquor Act (No. 59 of 2003) and other regulations as may be applicable to the sale of alcoholic beveragesCandidate Requirements:Grade 12Own transport/Reliable transportPreferably 1- 2 years wine tutor experienceIn depth knowledge of wines and being able to communicate and explain this to guestsPassionate about wine and the hospitality industryExcellent interpersonal- & communication skillsStrong customer service orientationComfortable in dealing with very distinguished clienteleMust be well-presentedWilling to work flexible hours and be able to work under pressureEnthusiastic personalityFixed term contract
