The primary purpose of this role will include overseeing the winding operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance in the production of motor windings for AC and DC motors.
Skills and Qualifications:Trade-tested or experienced Armature Winder with 5–10 years of experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of winding processes, including varnishing, VIP processes, and dipping processes.Proficient in quality assurance standards and tools.Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and a focus on quality excellence.Areas of Responsibility:Winding DepartmentDC and HV DepartmentVarnish and Curing DepartmentKey Responsibilities:Supervise all winding operations, ensuring compliance with production schedules and quality standards, including tasks such as winding dope data capturing, burnout and stripping, coil forming, material management, and lead connection/repair.Collaborate with Assembly Supervisor and Production Assistant to ensure seamless handover of wound components for assembly.Monitor team adherence to safety, cleanliness, and quality protocols.Ensure maintenance and availability of equipment such as winding machines, VPI tanks, varnish tanks, curing ovens, and burnout ovens.Keep all equipment and tooling in good working condition.Maintain quality standards by ensuring all units are correctly wound, varnished, and cured following work instructions.Record and check winding dope for fitness and maintain varnish samples for supplier review.Inform Quality Manager/Works Manager of non-conforming products and types of failures.Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and adjust production schedules when necessary.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, operational challenges, and areas for improvement.Provide training, resolve conflicts, and generate a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Spend 10% of monthly working hours on improvement projects, collaborating with other supervisors.Stay updated on new winding processes and implement best practices.Provide timely updates to the Production Planner regarding progress, potential delays, and outputs.Record and communicate results of the processing flow to the Workshop Manager.Check and verify winding dope for use and authorize changes in conjunction with the Workshop Manager and CEO.Hold and release non-conforming parts or units that do not meet customer requirements.Update work instructions in collaboration with the Quality and Workshop Managers.Email your CV to ******
