Job Purpose: The Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to develop provincial strategies and disseminate road safety educational information through mass media, marketing and communication. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3-years relevant experience in a Road Safety Management or related working environment; A valid driving licence (Code B or higher).

Key Performance Areas:
Conceptualise, develop and produce road safety literature; Implement road safety publicity campaigns and promotions and distribute literature; Facilitate the implementation of developed road safety strategies; Develop internal road safety communication programmes; Managerial functions.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices in Road Safety Management; Skills in written and verbal communication, computer literacy, project management, report writing, planning, and time management.
Remuneration:
R 444 036 per annum (Salary Level 9).
