Job Summary:We're seeking an experienced Web Hosting Manager to oversee the technical aspects of our web hosting services at Serverion. As a Web Hosting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our hosting infrastructure. You will lead a team of technical support specialists and work closely with our development team to ensure seamless delivery of our hosting services. Additionally, you will be responsible for pre-sales activities, including interacting with potential clients, understanding their technical requirements, and proposing solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain our web hosting infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our hosting services
Lead a team of technical support specialists to provide exceptional customer support
Collaborate with our development team to implement new technologies and services
Develop and implement technical strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including security and data protection
Engage in pre-sales activities, including:
Interacting with potential clients to understand their technical requirements
Proposing solutions that meet their needs
Developing technical proposals and presentations
Collaborating with sales teams to close deals
Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, including:
Providing technical guidance and support
Identifying new business opportunities
Upselling and cross-selling our services
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for how we can leverage these to improve our services
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in web hosting, server administration, or network administration
2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration
Experience with web hosting control panels, such as cPanel, Plesk, or DirectAdmin
Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP
Knowledge of security best practices, including firewall configuration and access control
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Business acumen, including:
Understanding of financial metrics and how they impact business decisions
Ability to identify new business opportunities and propose solutions
Strong negotiation and sales skills
