PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for creating and maintaining the company's websites for the various brands.
Conceptualising and implementing creative ideas.
SCOPE To manage and design all digital marketing requirements for the organization's brand website and marketing requirements Ensure brand websites and marketing email content are up to date, both front-end and back-end Generate reports on website update content, and new page layout design with an understanding of various brand Corporate Identity, UX design and SEO.
Responsibilities WEB DESIGN Frontend Website design and development Website UX design and understanding Content maintenance of current websites Updating of current website Meeting with clients for digital marketing requirements Generating reports of websites Conceptualising creative ideas with clients Testing and improving the design of the website Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients Working with different content management systems Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes Incorporating functionalities and features into websites Designing sample pages including colours and fonts Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure Working with the IT department to maintain security updates TEAMWORK Build relationships and support all business units LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT Continuously develop product knowledge, attend industry events/seminars/conferences, and participate in supplier workshops, educationals, exhibitions and trade shows when necessary Keep abreast of web design and communication branding trends and technology Requirements Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent A diploma or degree in design would be preferable 3 Years of Web Design experience Proficient in WordPress HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge.
JavaScript code writing is a bonus Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop) UX design experience Understanding and experience in CMS and Email marketing systems Knowledge of web server hosting environments (CPANEL, Microsoft) would be an advantage Microsoft Office including Word / Excel / PowerPoint and Outlook FTP knowledge Must be comfortable working within different web systems and CMS Strong understanding of CI, brand consistency and management Knowledge of how web servers are structured and updates Knowledge of installing and maintaining SSL certificates on CPANEL and Windows Server Competency A mature approach when dealing with people Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills Good oral and written communication skills Integrity and Honesty Good command of written and spoken English Good interpersonal skills Project Management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a team and work independently Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment Good understanding of content management systems Good understanding of search engine optimization principles Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues Excellent visual design skills Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies Creative and open to new ideas Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques Benefits Why work with our client?
