This includes overseeing potable water reticulation networks, sewage systems, boreholes, stormwater networks, dams, and associated pump stations.
The role requires adherence to water quality management programs, timely reporting of emergencies, and daily supervision of staff to ensure the smooth operation of water systems.
Key Performance Areas: Potable Water Reticulation Network Management:Supervise the maintenance and operation of water purification plants and related infrastructure.Ensure consistent availability of potable water to all areas of the estate.Sewage Network Management:Oversee sewage networks and pump stations to prevent blockages and ensure efficient waste management.Stock Management:Manage stores and stock levels of equipment and materials necessary for water system maintenance.Borehole Management:Maintain boreholes and associated infrastructure to secure alternative water sourcesStormwater Network Management:Ensure proper functioning of stormwater drainage systems to prevent flooding and soil erosion.Water Quality Management:Adhere to water quality management programs outlined by the Technical Services Manager to meet regulatory standards.Emergency Response:Be on standby for after-hours callouts to address water or estate-related emergencies promptly.Monitor and report emergencies to management for swift resolution.Dams and Pump Stations Management:Manage dams and associated pump stations for irrigation and water storage purposes.Supervision and Reporting:Supervise staff daily, ensuring adherence to schedules and performance standards.Prepare and submit reports as required by the Estate Maintenance Manager.Meeting Attendance:Attend management meetings as required to provide updates on water infrastructure and related activities.Experience:Tertiary qualification required Valid driver's license.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position
