The Water Civil EngineerThe Water Civil Engineer is responsible for planning and auditing for water savings as well as managing the implementation and maintenance of water savings for a given property portfolio. The Water Engineer is also responsible for Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment auditing and capital projects.The Water Engineer is accountable for all technical aspects of water savings for an entire contract and manages a team of Water Technicians, Water Technician Assistants, and Sub-contractors within the Region/s.Desired SkillsAssessment, Implementation and Management of Water Demand Management programmes.Auditing for water savings and water efficiency opportunities.Auditing for benchmarking purposes.Thorough understanding of water infrastructure, including bulk infrastructure such as reticulation networks, elevated towers, reservoirs, pump stations, etc., and water equipment/ fittings/ demand management devices from 300 mm downwards.Good understanding of AMR and metering equipment and AMR networks as well as graphic user interfaces.Cost-benefit analysis of water savings opportunities; Excellent understanding of applicable specifications and regulations, i.e. fire, building, etc.Model and analysis of water reticulation networks.Design and implementation of pressure management systems.ExperienceMin 6 Years work experience.Education and QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering – Water.Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment experience.Desired – ECSA Registered.General RequirementsMust be able to use Outlook/ Email, Shared Drive, Google Chrome, Excel, and Word. Preferential: Driver's license and driving experience.Based in Johannesburg.Meticulous recording of information, filing, and paperwork.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
