Join us!Purpose of Job:Accurately and efficiently complete assigned tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment such as manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS tools, and other shipping applications.
Depending on location, may back-up non-CDL delivery drivers.Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)Handle all product per the warehouse standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)Recondition and refurbish used batteriesProperly wrap and tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)Load and unload trucks safelyFollow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policiesGeneral warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers, and customers.Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers and serving as back-up for non-CDL delivery driversOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications:High school graduate (or equivalent)Able to read, write and compute basic mathMinimum of one year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine.Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.Ability to multi-task, quickly transitioning from one function/task to the next.Demonstrates good organizational skills and can prioritize tasksWorks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailApproaches tasks with a sense of urgencyMust work effectively in a team environmentAble to work overtime if requested.Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.Depending on the location, must have and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
DOT medical card may be required.Scope Data:Works under general supervision and guidanceAccountable for individual accuracy.Shared responsibility for process flow of 1.0 – 13.0 million pieces shipped per year out of the warehouseExposed to battery warehouse conditions such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.Frequent, repetitive lifting up to 75 lbs.Continuous standing or walkingUse of PPE required (steel toe boots, safety glasses, protective gloves, etc.
