As a result, a vacancy currently exists for the position of Export Warehouse Team Lead.Job DescriptionThe successful applicant will be responsible for leading the team as they complete their daily work and ensuring it is done efficiently and to the standard required. Ensuring Department Roles and Responsibilities and Department KPI's set by the company are carried out to a high standard.Our policy is to internally promote on a fair basis, keeping in mind the applicant's abilities, performance, and experience.Position Reports ToInitially working from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (M-F), this position will require flexible working between 07:00am – 15:00hrs and/or 15:00 – 23:00hrs, M-F.ResponsibilitiesLead the warehouse team to ensure all daily tasks are completed to Network International Standards.Maintain morning start-up and evening close-out to the required standard.Deputise as warehouse Supervisor when required.Ensure all daily routine maintenance checks are completed and any issues or defects reported.Maintain the warehouse working areas, ensuring housekeeping, safety, and security standards are followed.Liaise with all departments on daily warehouse requirements.Attend daily operation meetings.Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned and/or varied by the warehouse supervisor from time to time in light of growth and development.Ensure all close-out activities and reports are completed.Full close-up of the site.Liaise with internal suppliers, Transport, CS, FFW, TMS.Skills / QualificationsCounterbalance Forklift and Narrow Aisle Forklift Certified.Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize work.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.Ability to lead a team, meeting daily deadlines.Computer skills are an advantage.Able to work with minimal supervision.Flexibility.A Level of Azyra would be beneficial.The successful candidate will be required to complete an 8-week on-the-job trial period.
