This role focuses on improving warehouse operations, optimizing logistics processes, and designing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Process Engineering: Analyze current warehouse operations and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Develop and implement lean methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
Conduct time and motion studies to optimize storage, picking, and material handling systems.
Evaluate warehouse layouts to ensure efficient use of space and resources.
Logistics Engineering: Design and optimize supply chain and logistics processes to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Implement routing and scheduling systems to improve transportation efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to address logistics challenges.
Use data-driven approaches to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
Industrial Design: Develop ergonomic and efficient solutions for material handling equipment and tools.
Design layouts and workstations that meet safety and compliance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions into operations.
Evaluate new technologies and innovations for potential implementation in logistics processes.
Requirements: Education : Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse process optimization, logistics, or industrial design, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Skills : Proficiency in logistics software and warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of CAD software for layout and design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Certifications : Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with automotive supply chain requirements and Just-In-Time (JIT) logistics.
Experience with advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, or IoT in warehouse operations.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards for warehouse and logistics operations.
