Qualifications Matric Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Warehousing Management or Supply Chain Management RequirementsExperience in a Warehouse and Logistics operations environment, managing various distribution sitesExperience managing OHS and Safety guidelinesMust be able to plan and manage varying capacity demand and supply on a daily basisExcellent computer skills previous experience using NAV or Microsoft Business Central, will be an advantage.Previous experience implementing / maintaining 5S and Lean PrinciplesDuties Develop strategic plans and policies to improve Warehouse operations and strategically manage the Warehouse in compliance with policies, legislation and safety.Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service.Efficient planning and management of people, processes and system resources to achieve cost and customer service levels, while meeting KPI targets.Set up and implement high standards in the inbound, put away, storage and outbound processes. Provide an effective and reliable service to customers in time and manner, as well as keep high inventory accuracy, quality and controls.Manage quantity of stock, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.Keep a clean and organized Warehouse. Identify any waste in the Warehouse processes. Build and maintain a Safety culture aligned to the Companys and Occupational Health and Safety requirementsInteract with all supply chain functions such as Sales, Purchasing and Planning, to ensure the correct flow of information, in addition ensuring the satisfaction of internal and external customers.Logistics management: review process improvement, cost analysis, scheduling and stakeholder relationships.Oversee management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet.Implement new projects to build a Continuous Improvement culture and develop the team to increase productivity.Set up high standards in receiving, storage and dispatch processes. Evaluate against the standards to ensure teams are performing according to the SOP.Daily and monthly KPI reporting: Manage the KPIs and reports of the Warehouse daily on-time and accuracy, discrepancy, receiving on time, managing returns, control the inventory accuracy and productivity of the Warehouse.Maintain condition of Warehouse and all equipment by planning and implementing optimized layouts and ensure the goods and equipment are of a high standard.Ensure a high level of inventory accuracy, supervising the cycle counting process and planning and organizing the annual count. Maintain, optimize and improve Warehouse systems and processes. Apply Supply Chain best practice to actively identify, analyse and recommend quick win opportunities.Lead, develop and manage Warehouse staff, evaluating and developing the team to grow and learn daily. Foster a workplace culture that is consistent with the Companys organizational culture. Interact with suppliers to ensure optimum levels of packaging and costs are maintained.Provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach. Resolve any arising problems or escalating issues as required.Budget control of the Warehouse expenses to identify cost opportunity, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective action.Drive and manage Logistics and Warehouse improvement projects.Drive and manage OTD meetings and communication with inter-departmental managers to improve OTD.Align and manage stock and safety stock in the Warehouse.
