Job detailsHere's how the job details align with your profile.PayR25 000 - R28 000 a monthJob typeFull-timeLocationRandburg, GautengFull job descriptionQualifications required:Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.Proven experience in warehouse management, distribution, or logistics operations, with a track record of managing large-scale warehouses or distribution centers.Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices, with experience in implementing warehouse management systems (WMS).Familiarity with safety regulations, security protocols, and workplace health standards governing warehouse operations, including OSHA, EPA, and FDA requirements.Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate with stakeholders, and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize warehouse operations and solve complex logistics challenges.Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office applications for data analysis, reporting, and communication.Project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute warehouse improvement projects, process enhancements, and technology implementations within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs and market conditions.Responsibilities:Customer Service – respond to each and every customer query and/or complaint timeously and communicate with the customer via company communication channels, thus ensuring excellent customer service.All Orders/Deliveries – ensure that all orders are correctly captured and delivered correctly and timeously, ensuring correct document information, courier/driver allocations, etc.Inventory Control and Stock Planning – ensuring that you have enough stock on hand and advising the factory of any stock needs in advance, as well as reporting on stock that is due to expire. The same applies to packaging materials and any other stock needs to enable you to fulfill your duties – basically full inventory control. Regular stock takes as per company requirements.Logistics Management and Planning – allocation of deliveries with courier companies and drivers as well as daily effective route planning. Vehicle Management forms part of Logistics Management and Planning, and you must ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy and maintained and that drivers and vehicles are licensed.Procurement/Raw Materials Coordination – by advising the factory timeously of stock needs, you basically form part of the raw materials handling as your input will assist the factory to plan and order raw materials timeously. Procurement also includes sourcing cost-effective suppliers in terms of couriers, various materials, machinery, and any other purchases that may be required.Housekeeping – ensuring that the warehouse plan is in order relating to shelves, bins, dispatch, and other areas (full layout), cleaning, and removal of waste.Recordkeeping & e-commerce – ensure all required data, logs, and/or any other form of recordkeeping is accurate and up to date, including filing of documents.Warehouse Operations – ensuring that all warehouse operations are carried out effectively, including maintenance.Occupational Health and Safety – ensuring that all staff are equipped with PPE and that operating procedures are followed, including assessing all risks and regular updating of OHS records as required by law e.g., fire extinguishers, SOPs, etc.Staff Management – to manage all staff under your supervision, manage labor-related issues together with the HR Manager, attendance, absences, leave, etc., as well as ensuring training and development of staff. Identify staff strengths and develop them, as well as identifying weaknesses and ensuring training. The core function in staff development is to ensure staff are multiskilled to ensure continuation in the event of staff shortages, etc.SOPs – develop and implement standing operational procedures in all areas of Warehouse Management and Workforce, including liaising with the HR Manager to ensure that all SOPs are in line with company templates and approved by either the HR Manager or CEO.Financial Management – ensuring effective budget and financial management that is not risky to the company as well as monitoring spending.Reporting – to report to the CEO or any other delegated senior member of staff on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis as required by the company.
