About the role:
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to execute a range of duties related to the proactive and efficient running and monitoring of our warehouse, located at our Headquarters in Midrand.
In taking on this role, you will play a critical role within the supply chain process, stock control, and operations of ikeja, by assisting with overall project coordination and managing a large proportion of the processes and systems inherent in the operations of the warehouse and company's operations as a whole.
The Warehouse Manager role demands that you be exceptionally organized, meticulous, resourceful, hands-on, innovative, highly responsible, and able to take initiative.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities (not limited to but including):
Managing various warehouses and inventory in compliance with ikeja's policies and vision.
Manage employees including stock controllers, receiving clerks, warehouse assistants & driver.
Ensure efficient layout and utilisation of the warehouse capacity.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting on financial and non-financial performance.
Manage minimum stock levels and project orders.
Manage supplier relationships.
Oversee the stock control process and ensure all tasks are executed accurately and timeously.
Manage interdepartmental relationships.
Manage accuracy and completeness of all transactions in the warehouse management system software.
Proactively work towards eliminating inefficiencies and strive for continuous improvement of the stock control function.
Identifying bottlenecks and initiating and implementing improvements.
Effective root cause analysis, problem-solving and implementation of corrective and preventative measures, including introducing internal controls and eliminating losses.
Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Logistics, supply chain management or project management
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years working in a warehouse setting, with at least 3 being in a management role.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
Proven ability to conceptualize and implement process improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases incl.MS Excel & Google Sheets.
Comfortable with software implementations and a range of hardware.
Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and organize roles within a team as well as allocate resources.
A proven experience in multi-tasking and prioritising different tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
High level of accountability and attention to detail.
Proven ck record of thriving in an agile environment
