Warehouse Clerk (East London)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products.Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to ensure that inventory remains accurate and up-to-date.Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and prepare products for orders.Ensure that orders are accurately fulfilled and that products meet quality standards before dispatch.Receiving and Storing: Receiving of items, checking for accuracy, and store products in the correct locations.Handle and store products according to safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination.Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain proper documentation of inventory movements, including shipping and receiving logs.Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to update and track inventory.Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and freshness, reporting any issues with damaged or expired goods.Ensure all poultry products are stored at appropriate temperatures to maintain quality.Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, particularly regarding the handling of perishable goods like poultry.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols in the warehouse environment.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, such as forklift operators and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations.Communicate effectively with transportation teams to coordinate deliveries.REQUIREMENTS: Detail-oriented and organized.Must be proficient with Excel.Good communication skills.
