Warehouse Assistant/Stock ControllerBrackenfell, Cape Town - R7 000 to R8 000 Per MonthManufacturer, Importer, Exporter and Distributor of handles, hinges, screens, window hinges, window and door hardware/accessories and measuring equipment seeks a Warehouse Assistant to receive, check, put away, count, pick and dispatch boxed goods of Aluminium Hardware for speedy delivery to customers.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccurate picking, packing and dispatchingPreparation of transport documentationMaintain, clean and keep all electronic and other warehouse equipment in working orderReceive stock and accurately check stock from SuppliersEnsure orders are dispatched efficientlyAssist Savignac counter customers with accuracy and speedMonitor warehouse shelves to ensure neatness and tidinessCheck and shelve stock from Suppliers and PTA branch with accuracy and speedClean bay regularlyEnsure that shelves are neat and cleanLabel all stockConduct monthly stock take accuratelyPrepare for monthly stock take as per head office regulationsPerform daily cycle counts and meet weekly targetsEnsure Supplier and Interbranch documentation is sent to Office Manager for filingComply with and enforce all policies and procedures within area of responsibilityAccurately count stock at all timesShelve stock in a logical, neat and tidy manner according to set layoutWork with Manager to identify and manage slow-moving stockApply FIFO method on all stockAdhere to health and safety procedures at all timesAssist with ad-hoc duties as requested by ManagementEnsure sound communications with all internal and external customersRaise any issues that may influence warehouse managementDesired Experience & QualificationMatric or equivalentProduct knowledgeProblem-solving skillsExperience with stock within a warehouseExperience with stock takesAbility to recognize and report mistakesAbility to follow instructionsPick and pack stock correctlyPhysically capable of moving around and lifting at least 25 KgsForklift operation and possession of a forklift driver's licenseAbility to train new warehouse assistantsComprehend customer expectations and the costs and effects of failure to deliver on promisesCooperate and communicate with team membersDexterity and equipment usageFitness and flexibilityOrganization and self-motivationSpeed and precisionAbility to work within a team
