Warehouse Assistant

· Moving inventory through the building as required.
This includes:
- Unpacking inventory received from suppliers,
- Checking that inventory is not damaged,
- Counting inventory delivered, to ensure it agrees with suppliers delivery documents
- Preparing inventory for packing into various storage facilities in the building
- Unpacking, as required, into accurate bin locations, carefully, avoiding breakages,
- Bringing any defects, breakages, faults to the attention of the relevant supervisors
- Picking product, as required by picking slips, for packing and delivery
- Packaging product safely, securely and carefully into appropriate packages, in preparation for shipment
- Cleaning, repackaging, sorting of product within various storage areas, as required
- Weighing, measuring and documenting these weights and measurements, as required
· Ensure work areas are always at the highest level of cleanliness and neatness, to avoid safety & health risks,
- Maintenance of packaging machines as required
· Assist with inventory control processes, as required, and bring to the attention of the supervisor any non-compliance as and when it comes to the attention of the employee
· Inventory counts as and when required
· All other duties as assigned by supervisor
