What will you do as a SHEQ Officer (Interim)? The SHEQ Officer (Interim) will be required to support the organization in the development and maintenance of an Occupational Health, Safety & Security Program, developing related targets and maintaining a positive safety performance in line with legal and Vopak standards.
Coordinating and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with these standards and continuous improvements. Interact with and report on Occupational Health, Safety and Security to the relevant authorities, Vopak Management and Corporate representatives. Support in creating and maintaining knowledgeable staff in SHE and positive safety culture within the organisation.

Your core responsibilities are: Developing, reviewing and implementing Occupational Health, Safety and Security policies and procedures to maintain an effective safety management systemSupport in the identification, development and implementation of SHE related training within the organization as required.Provide input into the annual SHE action plan, budget and development of KPIs, monitor progress. Report monthly and quarterly as requiredProvide support and specialist SHE input in meetings/ projects - Safety Committee, Department interface, Contractor meetings, and Customer meetings and with relevant authorities. Support the Safety Representatives in achieving their mandate through training, reporting and monitoring the close out of actionsManage the PPE program in relation to legislative and Vopak requirementsDevelop, implement and monitor the Industrial Hygiene program. Set upexposure monitoring program based on legal and Vopak standardsManagement of the Emergency Response Plan, the update, training and testing of the plan as required by law/Vopak standardsProvide governance in the management of all SHE related equipment from identification, calibration, maintenance and recordsSupport the Management Of Change (MOC) processby providing SHE expertise as requiredPerform incident investigations when required and monitor the close out of corrective actions and provide trends to support continuous improvement.Support the organization on the development of a positive safety culture amongst staff and contractors by raising SHE awareness, empowering and coaching staff in SHE matters within their job functionsPerform Regular Site Observations to audit behavior based safety.Contractor/Supplier Management – provide input into Contractor requirements for activities/projects on site (baseline SHE requirements into Contracts), inspect Contractor files, audit of facilities / activities on a regular basis.Managing and oversee security management of VSAOverseeing the permit to work system for contractors on siteConduct trends of leading indicators and support investigation of trends. SOR,PORFacilitating audits to verify compliance level of contractors (Acts, codes, VSA standards)Statistics collations and sustainability reporting internally and externallyWant to start as a SHEQ Officer (Interim) at Vopak?
