Employer DescriptionOur client is an Electrical and Automation solutions provider.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following:Electrician InstallationsAssemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power toolsPlan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codesAssist with all normal workshop tasks if not on-site including wiring/testing electrical equipmentPerforming routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is neededAssist with commissioningDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemConnect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other componentsPrepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codesCoordinating ProjectsLiaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectivesReviews project activities for compliance with procedures and standardsParticipate in preparation of project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budgetWeekly/daily progress reports on installations project progress and health check projectsQualificationsMatric (Grade 12)ND in Electrical Engineering3 Phase Wiremans License (Master IE) (Non-negotiable)Project Management Certificate (Advantage)First Aid Level 1 (Advantage)ORHVS Certificate (Advantage)SkillsKnowledge of Schneider & Siemens electrical products would be advantageousKnowledge of Electrical systems, especially MCCsBasic knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and ToolsBasic knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioningKnowledge of electrical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceValid Drivers LicenseKnowledge of electrical hazardsBenefitsMedical aidTravelCellphoneGroup Life
