Introduction

To maximize the return on investment of a product on a daily basis against the space that it occupies through the outputs from AO, FSA and space planning, visual merchandising rules derived from category team GMROI (Measured at Performance or Product X Planogram Level), Space productivity or return on Space.



Job description


Job Objectives


To interpret and represent the category strategy/operating plan into a planogram from AO outputs to ensure stores understand how to merchandise the product while adhering to all applicable display principles and ensuring sufficient on shelf sustainability relative to each items rate of sale.
To manage and maintain the visual ranging of products within the category to ensure it meets the requirements of the agreed planogram merchandising rules.
To manage and maintain the stores associated with the ranging clusters for each category to facilitate changes in macro space.
To support the category performance through adherence to parameters as negotiated within the commercial agreements, through appropriate facings and visual representation.
To provide verbal input to assortment analyst in order to assist category teams with decision making (Category Operating Plan and Range Reviews).
To facilitate the updating of MDQ's and facings into MMS, through min max rules.
To ensure timeous approval of planograms, based on upload schedule into open access according to the category planogram upload and range review schedule.

Current IT technology
Merchandise Display Principles
Category Operating Plans


Job Related Skills:


Computer Literacy, specifically with Space Planning software
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Sound communication skills
Presentation skills
To be extremely detail orientated
The ability to work under pressure – Time management


Job Experience:


Years experience on a space planning application
3-4 years' experience within the merchandise department
3-4 years' experience in a retail environment


Education:


Relevant Degree/diploma desirable - essential
