Main PurposeTo provide leadership to the visual merchandise team that ensures a world-class shopping experience by creating and implementing impactful visual displays in line with directives to maximize sales for the allocated department.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Plan and implement visual marketing material to ensure the effective launch of promotions and special events in the allocated area in conjunction with the commercial departments.Communicate marketing material for promotions to department staff.Create visual displays in line with the visual manual, in-store booklet, and beautiful VM booklets to maximize sales.Monitor current customer profiles and observe customers to influence visual displays and provide feedback on changes or trends in the allocated area.Manage the distribution and implementation of ticketing and décor in the allocated area.Manage and maintain all visual equipment for the allocated area.Provide input to the planning to improve the general ambiance of the store and implement accordingly.People management - staffing, performance management, training & development, employee relations.Desired Experience & QualificationQualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level.Diploma/Degree or relevant qualification will be advantageous.2 years of visual experience in a retail environment.Technical knowledge and skills:Retail and supervisory experience will be advantageous.Ability to perform manual and technical tasks.Spatial, dimensional, and proportional orientation.Colour distinction and coordination.Visual discernment.
