The successful incumbent will need to be innovative and resilient. You are the catalyst to facilitating the visitor experience through building awareness and support activities, as you carry out the following responsibilities: Complete travel, accommodation, and entertainment bookings.
Execute customer queries in person, phone, and digital media, converting them into reservations and sales.
Your ability to drive sales is essential.
Set up displays, sell and re-stock merchandise. Keep abreast of the latest accommodation, places to visit, activities, attractions and events. Support membership and the Industry Services team.
Qualifications and Experience With a higher certificate (NQF5) in a related field plus 2 years of experience working within the travel or hotel industry (exposure to promoting/selling products, attractions and/or experiences) you meet the following criteria: Good listening skills and attention to detail to create and translate our offerings into an exceptional visitor experience.
A great team player who can play an equal part in contributing to our team efforts.
Tech savvy: Ability to utilise social media and booking systems in support of our organisation.
Prepared to be mobile, flexible and enjoy working at different locations.
Committed to working long hours, on weekends and in a pressurised environment at times.
