What We're Looking For: The main purpose of this position is the creation of engaging and skills-imparting video content with a focus on quality, efficiency and innovation. This is achieved by executing briefs, managing and producing all assigned videos and media assets to the highest standard as well as supporting on high priority projects. The production of videos includes the planning, directing delivery, directing shot setup and filming of in-person and virtual videos, in-studio or on-location. The challenges of the position are both creative and logistical, requiring on-your-feet problem solving, a keen eye and ear for detail and the ability to oversee a system of many moving parts with grace and confidence. The Video Producer should adhere to timelines and deadlines of assigned projects.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Performing course tasks to best ability at industry-leading quality (some supervision needed). These include filming virtually, in-studio or on-location.Preparing faculty for their studio intensive experience through one-on-one client interaction.Package and media manage footage, before handing over to post-production.Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external project stakeholders.Things That Should Be In Your Background: Relevant experience in film production and organization.Professional written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrable endorsement and respect from colleagues/teachers/mentors.Prior experience with client relationship management (beneficial).Track record of initiative taken in previous work/position and evidence of positive impact.Evidence of influence in previous work/position.3+ years work experience.Tertiary education in relevant fields.Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role: Experience managing projects from start to finish, and time and task managementA keen eye and ear for identifying client wants and needsProven ability to exercise sound decision making in a fast-paced environmentEffective team leadership skillsFamiliarity with using technology; Google Docs, basic video editing, and Adobe Creative SuiteWorking Conditions A Mid Video Producer would be required to film outside of the United States and South African Standard Times; working hours to be adjusted accordingly. Mid Video Producer could be required to travel globally if required to film courses and marketing content for university partners.
Physical Requirements Lifting of mildly heavy camera equipment, and standing for extended periods of time during in-person filming (where applicable).
