Core Functions: Register as a principal for Potchefstroom Veterinary Hospital (Equine) with South African Veterinary Council (SAVC); Manage clinical veterinary and welfare service to SAPS animals (primarily Equine); ; Co-ordinate and manage basic veterinary and animals courses for SAPS Dog handlers and Stable officials; Ensure sound implementation and management of existing contracts within the environment of the post; Compile and present monthly performance reports to the Section Head; Conduct veterinary research related to SAPS animal welfare and report epidemiology; Manage all resources allocated to the post as well as the formulation and implementation of National policies, directives, standards and procedures within the SAPS Veterinary Medical / Healthcare jobs
