Job Description The Engineer will be responsible for evaluating, scoping, planning, and managing the timely implementation of special projects, processes, and engineering change points affecting vehicle electronics.
Key Responsibilities Task Planning and Coordination: Plan and manage deliverables and timing for vehicle electrics/electronics product, engineering, and process changes using tools like MS Office to ensure timely implementation of change points. Evaluation and Coordination: Assess and coordinate changes in vehicle electrics/electronics using group systems, ensuring all change points are addressed. Team Collaboration: Participate in local and group meetings to manage and escalate tasks related to electrics/electronics changes, avoiding delays or issues impacting legal, compliance, and buildability. Technical Support: Source technical product information to support new technologies, process improvements, or interim reworks, preventing production stoppages and non-conformance. Global Liaison: Collaborate with overseas counterparts on buildability, process standards, training, product, and quality matters to ensure thorough understanding and documentation through meetings and business trips. Essential Qualifications and Skills Education: Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering (excluding heavy current) or Mechatronics. Experience: At least 3 years in project management, including planning, costing, and coordinating activities and teams. Minimum of 1 year in vehicle manufacturing or a related field, with a focus on vehicle electrics/electronics. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills for root cause analysis. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Innovative and proactive in contributing ideas and solutions. Strong collaboration and coordination abilities, able to work well under pressure and make sound decisions. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to facilitate coaching and training at various levels.
