Vat Accountant

The VAT Accountant plays a critical role within the VAT Department and non-RSA finance team and reports directly to the VAT Manager, contributing to the accurate and compliant filing of non-RSA VAT returns. The role acts in accordance with the financial reporting plan with a specific focus on the quarterly, half year and year-end reporting periods. The role operates cross-functionally with the Non-RSA and Group Finance teams to process VAT calculations and provisions ensuring that all information is timeously and accurately reviewed, providing assurance to all VAT related stakeholders. The role requires meticulousattention to detail, strong numerical proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
