SCM VALUE DELIVERY AND INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST Reporting line: Head: Supply Chain Management Division: Group Finance Scale Code: 300 Position ID: 60023075 Closing Date: 22 August 2024 PURPOSE To deliver SCM continuous improvement and value delivery through effective project management, financial management, governance, risk and compliance, transfer of skills, and stakeholder management.
1.
OPERATIONAL PLAN Drive SAP optimisation, integration and efficiency models and tools.
Develop and implement innovative SCM integration and knowledge management tools.
Drive the administration of process integration to improve team efficiency and productivity.
Research and implement ongoing business and process improvements.
Drive research-based contributions to the SCM demand and contract management framework.
Monitor SCM risks, opportunities, disruptions and innovations in the external environment; make recommendations on value delivery measures.
Provide business intelligence on procurement spend transparency and reporting.
Support Category Management with category strategies conceptualization.
Provide effective and efficient project management tools from conceptualization to post-implementation.
Train and mentor SCM on project management.
Report and monitor detailed project plans, ensuring on-time project delivery and procurement cost management against project plans.
Manage and report on the SCM digital transformation strategy.
Compile accurate and comprehensive monthly performance statistics.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Drive the implementation of the digital transformation project for the Supply Chain.
Streamline processes and reduce procurement costs.
Monitor, audit and report on SCM savings on procurement activities.
Monitor and track procurement spend.
3.
GOVERNANCE, RISK AND COMPLIANCE Ensure compliance with all SCM Policies and Procedures, and all applicable regulations and Acts such as PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE, and National Treasury instruction notes.
Audit integrity of SCM operational performance.
4.
TRANSFER OF SKILL Assist SCM Practitioners to develop project management skills.
Provide training/education and awareness around project management skills.
Train and educate on technology usage and optimisation.
Manage innovative business and SCM integration measures and plans to ensure optimisation, accuracy, and completeness in reporting.
Assist the SCM Category Management with industry research for improved spend management.
5.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Monitor and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with all SCM units (Managers and Practitioners) to ensure continuous integration and optimisation efforts.
