Vacuum Pump Sales Representative Overview: This person will be responsible for sales, service and training of vacuum pumps and related equipment Duties: Function as full technical sales and support engineer by handling all technical queries from customers. Sales of Vacuum pumps and related equipment. Visit customers sites and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance. Carry out fault finding effectively and communicate with the customer as to the problems, recommending the best solutions. Carry out installations as per company procedures and in accordance with the order specifications. Advise customers on pre-installation requirements for instruments. Carry out remote diagnostics. Respond efficiently to customer calls and emergency work. Function as support for other sales personnel. Provide telephonic assistance to customers. Ensure that product knowledge is of a high standard. Keep up to date with technical changes and updates. Travel outside office hours and outside the borders of South Africa. Job Skills & Qualifications : Mechanical Engineering qualification, Knowledge of vacuum pumps, pressure, etc. Able to do calculations At least 2 years sales experience combined with technical experience Own a car with a valid drivers license Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Must be willing to travel extensively in Sout h Africa. Remuneration : Salary negotiable around R25k plus travel allowance, tools of the trade and commissions on a target performance.
