ENVASS invites only those capable to apply for this position as a Senior Environmental Scientist, located in Gauteng, Pretoria and reporting into Senior Management.

Qualifications/Experience Required: Minimum of a Master's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or an associated specialist field.Must be registered with SACNASP and have 10 years' experience.Extensive experience in specialist assessments including but not limited to: Biodiversity, Noise and Visual impacts, dispersion modelling, Olfactory assessments, Soil and land capability. Proficiency in supporting software programmes will be highly beneficial.Superior knowledge of relevant environmental policies, legislation, guidelines, and standards associated with expert and specialist studies, proven based on project experience and recent training (courses).Experience within the mining, agricultural, alternative energy, construction, and water use sectors is a requirement.Exceptional proficiency in writing detailed and high-quality proposals and reports, with the ability to demonstrate skills upon request and to guide team members through project planning and execution is essential.Confident and effective communication skills when engaging with clients, the public, and authorities, as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and specialists.Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.Applicants must be willing to travel and have a driver's licence and valid passport.Experience in the compilation of proposals, quotations, and tenders.Ability to source new work.Salary Range: Package includes a 13th Cheque and other company-based benefits such as training and development plans, 14th Cheque bonus options, as well as work-life balance programs to participate in as part of Hybrid and remote working models.
