The consultant should demonstrate technical excellence and progressive environmental consulting experience.Responsibilities:Lead / prominent role in delivering Basic Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management Programs and Compliance Auditing projects.Financial Management on projects.Water Use License Applications.Mining Applications.Feasibility / Screening Assessments.Environmental Compliance Auditing and Legal Compliance.Key client/account relationship management, participation in marketing and business development activities.Compilation and review of tenders and quotations.Qualifications/Experience Required:BSc Honours Degree in appropriate environmental field or equivalent (MSc advantageous).Minimum four (4) years environmental consulting experience in Impact Assessment, Water Use Licenses, Compliance Monitoring, stakeholder engagement / public participation, EMPr drafting, Mining Applications and Project Management.EAPASA and/or Pr.Sci.Nat Professional Registration.Thorough knowledge of NEMA, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and legislative requirements.Liaise appropriately with specialists as well as sub-consultants, clients and authorities.Must be able to meet deadlines, and be prepared to work extra time occasionally in order to do so.Well organized – able to plan, prioritize, co-ordinate and work well under pressure.Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.Code B Driver's license, own transport and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.Have the ability to source new work.Salary range: Market related based on experience and interview discussion.
